One clarification first, because many sites blur it: the balloon flies over the plain outside Marrakech, not over the Agafay plateau. It is a fine experience, but it does not fly over the Agafay plateau. We would rather you knew before booking.
The flight lasts 40 to 60 minutes and lifts off at first light, when the air is still and the light is at its best. Breakfast follows under a nomad tent, and you are back in Marrakech mid-morning.

At sunrise, all year round. The pick-up is very early, often around five in the morning, which is the only real cost of the experience. Flights depend on wind and are cancelled rather than risked.
