Dining in the Agafay desert

Lunch in the shade, dinner under the sky, or a table set apart with nobody else in earshot. Three ways to eat on the plateau.

Shaded restaurant terrace looking out over the Agafay Desert

Everything is cooked at the camp rather than brought out reheated, which is the difference you taste. Lunch is served in the shade in the middle of the day; dinner comes once it is properly dark, outside when the weather allows.

What changes between the camps is the evening: some bring gnawa musicians, some finish with a fire show, some stay quiet. Tell us which you want and we place you accordingly.

Questions about dining

Can I book dinner without staying the night?
Yes. The Night Pass covers arrival before sunset, the pool, dinner and the evening programme. Dinner can also be booked on its own.
Is lunch included in the Day Pass?
Yes, along with the pool and the terraces, from 11:00 to 18:00.
What if I am vegetarian?
No trouble at all, nor are other requirements, provided you tell us when you book so we can pass it on to the camp.
Is alcohol served?
In some camps, not in others. Ask rather than assume, and we confirm before you book.
How far ahead do I need to book a private table?
A few days, not a few hours. The camp has to set it apart and assign service to it.
Is dinner included in the price of a tent?
No. A tent rate covers the night and breakfast. Dinner is €35 per person and booked separately.
