About this tent
Solo travellers are usually offered the worst room in the building. Here the single category is the same canvas tent as the double and the triple, with the same floor area, the same private bathroom and the same terrace looking out over the plateau. What changes is the bed and the price.
That matters more in a desert camp than in a hotel. You are not passing through a corridor to reach a shared bathroom at night, and the terrace where you drink your coffee at sunrise is not shared with anybody.

Extra bed
This category sleeps one. If a second person joins you, we move the booking to the double tent rather than add a bed: it is the same tent with a double bed, and it costs less than a supplement would.
Private bathroom
The bathroom is inside the tent and nobody else uses it. Hot water, a walk-in shower and a private toilet. For a solo traveller this is the difference between a desert camp and camping: you are not crossing the site in the cold at six in the morning.

Check-in and check-out
Check-in and check-out times are set by each camp and confirmed in writing with your booking. They are usually mid-afternoon and mid-morning. If you arrive on an early flight or leave on a late one, say so and we arrange what we can.

Because the alternative on this plateau is usually a single occupancy of a double room at nearly the full price. Here the rate reflects one person, and the tent does not shrink to match.
