Two, in one double bed. If you would rather have separate beds, tell us: the triple category has a double bed and a separate single, which some couples prefer.

Is a king-size bed available?

The tents have a double bed. We do not promise a specific mattress size because it varies between camps, and we would rather under-promise than have you measure it on arrival.

Does the tent have a private shower and toilet?

Yes, both, inside the tent and for your use alone. Hot water, a walk-in shower and a private toilet. Nothing is shared with other guests.

Yes. Towels, toiletries and a hairdryer are provided, along with a safe, a minibar and a coffee machine.

Is breakfast included?

Yes. The rate is bed and breakfast. Dinner is served at the camp for €55 per person and is worth staying for.

Can an extra bed be added?

Not to the double. For three people we use the triple category, which is the same tent with a double bed and a separate single.

About this tent

The double is the standard of the camp rather than an upgrade of anything. A canvas tent on a rise, a double bed, a bathroom inside with hot water, and a terrace where the only thing in front of you is thirty kilometres of stone.

It is the category couples ask for and the one we show first, because it is the one the camps furnish most carefully. If you have seen a photograph of an Agafay tent interior, it was almost certainly this configuration.

Extra bed

No third bed is added to a double. Three people go in the triple, which has a proper single bed rather than a folding one squeezed between the wardrobe and the door. Tell us you are three and we book that instead.

Private bathroom

A private bathroom inside the tent, with hot water, a walk-in shower and a private toilet. Two people share it and nobody else. It is the detail that separates the camps we work with from the ones selling a tent with a bucket and a good view.

Check-in and check-out

Check-in and check-out times are set by each camp and confirmed in writing with your booking. They are usually mid-afternoon and mid-morning. If you arrive on an early flight or leave on a late one, say so and we arrange what we can.
