Events in the Agafay Desert
The plateau takes a marquee, a long table or a whole camp. We plan each one from scratch and quote it properly.
An event on the plateau is not a venue hire. There is no mains water, the power is limited, and everything your guests eat and drink arrives by road. Done carelessly that becomes a problem on the night. Done properly it is invisible, and the setting does the rest.
We handle the camp, the logistics and the suppliers, and we tell you early when something will not work. That second part matters more than the first.
What we plan
Private celebrations
Birthdays, anniversaries and proposals. These are often the smallest bookings and the ones that need the most care, because the details are the whole point.
Corporate and incentives
Seminars, team gatherings and client trips. Meeting space is limited on the plateau, so we are honest early about what a camp can and cannot host.
Brand, press and film
Photoshoots and shoots. Permits, power and call times all need arranging in advance, and some camps will not take a crew at all during high season.
How a quote works

Planning questions
How far in advance should we book?
For a wedding, six to twelve months. For a company gathering, three months. For a private dinner, a week is usually enough. High season on the plateau runs from March to May and September to November.
How many guests can the plateau take?
It depends entirely on the camp. Some hold twenty, others several hundred with a marquee. Tell us your number first and we will tell you which camps are realistic.
Can we bring our own suppliers?
Usually yes for photography, music and flowers. Catering is normally the camp. We confirm this in writing per camp before you commit, because the rules differ.
Do you charge for a quote?
No. A quote is free and itemised, so you can see what each part costs rather than being handed a single number.
What happens if the weather turns?
Rain is rare but not impossible, and wind is more common than rain. Every event we plan has a covered alternative agreed in advance, not improvised on the day.
