Corporate events and incentives in the Agafay desert

Seminars, team gatherings and client trips. Meeting space is limited on the plateau, so we are honest early about what a camp can and cannot host.

What this looks like on the plateau

The plateau does incentives extremely well and formal seminars less well, and it is worth knowing which you are planning. A camp gives you dinner under an enormous sky, activities that people talk about afterwards, and tents so nobody commutes. What it does not give you is a conference room with reliable projection and forty chairs.

That is the honest boundary. Half a day of working sessions in Marrakech and an evening on the plateau is a combination that works. Three days of plenary sessions in a tent is a combination that disappoints, and we will say so before you book rather than after.

Who this is for

  • Incentive trips and team gatherings, which the plateau suits best
  • Client dinners and product launches
  • Seminars where the working sessions happen elsewhere and the evening happens here

What we tell you early

  • Meeting space is limited: assume no dedicated conference room unless we confirm one
  • Power is limited and mostly solar, so heavy AV needs to be declared early and may need a generator
  • Wifi exists at most camps, it is slow, and it stops at the edge of the common area. Do not plan a live video call from a tent
  • Group sizes above roughly a hundred narrow the list of camps sharply

What a quote covers

Usually included

  • Exclusive use of a camp, or a defined area
  • Dinner and service for the group
  • Tents for those staying over
  • Coordination on site during the event

Usually separate

  • Transfers from Marrakech, arranged on request
  • Activities such as quads, camels and buggies
  • AV equipment beyond what the camp holds
  • Anything requiring a permit

Planning and lead time

Three months is comfortable for a seminar or an incentive. A client dinner can be arranged in a fortnight. High season on the plateau runs March to May and September to November, and in those windows the good camps are held early by weddings.
