Quad biking in the Agafay desert
Guided, on the tracks east of the camps. No licence, a five-minute briefing, and you come back covered in dust whatever you wear.
What it is
The tracks run east of the camps, across open ground with long views towards the Atlas. You ride in a group behind a guide, which keeps the pace sensible and means nobody gets lost on a plateau where the tracks all look alike.
No licence is required and the briefing takes five minutes. Goggles and a helmet are provided. The ground is gravel and the dust gets everywhere, so wear something you do not mind ruining.
From 50 €
When to go
Mid-morning, before the heat builds. The tracks are exposed and between noon and four in summer a pleasant hour becomes an ordeal. Late afternoon works too and gives you better light for photographs.
